Operations Unit Units Units view Unit Inspector Declared Goods tab

The Declared Goods tab displays the details of the goods and documents associated with the selected unit. You can add, edit, and delete goods declarations from this tab. However, if a goods declaration has associated documents (on page 1), you must delete all the documents before you can delete the goods declaration.

Usually, Customs officers or designated agents that have access privileges assigned to login to N4 record the documents associated with export container goods. Customs-related documents may be received before, during, or after the unit arrives at a facility. Sometimes these documents are received after the unit has already Departed (on page 1) the facility.

You can use the Declared Goods tab to record the details about each document received with the selected container. You can record the information about each document against the associated goods or package descriptions. You may receive the goods information as an EDI message or you may enter the information manually using the Declared Goods tab.

You can also configure an EDI session to send the key information about the unit documents to Customs or other agencies using the event triggered activity messages.
